ABOUT

Serenity Wellness and Therapy was founded by Kaity Rodriguez in 2017 with a mission to strengthen the wellness and relationships of the black community. After navigating the stresses and challenges of being a high-achieving working professional, she made it her goal to help others do the same.

Healing is difficult, but even more so when you are unsure of how to address the origin of the pain. So often, we know what we “should” do, but are unable to bring ourselves to do so. At Serenity Wellness and Therapy, we integrate therapy, coaching, and cultural sensitivity, to help our clients get to the roots of their trauma, which is the basis for real change, while also providing practical tools to move forward.

Addressing trauma and brain patterns is key to true change. Our mission is to provide a safe space for the black community and people of color to do this work, heal, and thrive.

During the following sessions, we will focus on meeting your goals. We will discuss the progress and decide if we need to add goals, change them, or if you feel you are in a good mental space to be done with counseling.

GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE

Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises

DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?

No. Serenity Wellness and Therapy is out of network with all NJ insurance companies. We may still be able to help by providing lower-cost options to make therapy accessible to you.

WHERE IS YOUR THERAPY PRACTICE LOCATED?

Our therapy practice is 100% virtual. We are licensed and can only accept clients for therapy in New Jersey. Any services we provide outside of that, which includes consulting and life coaching services, can be anywhere in the United States. Contact us to discuss your specific scenario.
